The Retired Caravanners Association The friendly club for the over 60’s . Our Association is a VAT registered, non-profit making company limited by guarantee to £1 per member and is administered by an Executive Committee elected by the members. The Executive Committee is comprised of a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Secretary and five Area Organisers. For administrative purposes, the mainland UK is divided into five areas, these broadly being the North West of England including West Scotland and North Wales, the North East of England and East Scotland, the Midlands and the rest of Wales, the South West and part of Middle England, the South East and part of Middle England. These areas are each the responsibility of the five Area Organisers who select sites for rallies, negotiate with the site owners and liase with local authorities.  Complete programmes of the rallies are sent to members at the beginning of each year, giving members the opportunity to plan their holidays in advance and secure places on the rallies with a non-returnable deposit of £1.00 per night, which if accepted, is deducted from the rally fee. Each rally is organised and run by volunteer members who are obliged to conform with broad guidelines set by the Executive Committee, but are encouraged to ‘put their own stamp’ on their rally in terms of the service and entertainment provided.  All of the above give their services on a voluntary basis and renumerated on a strictly ‘expenses only’ basis.
